// The BeoSound Level received the iF DESIGN Gold Award in 2022 and continues to be a market success.
The BeoSound Level was the last product I contributed to during my time at Valeur Designers. This versatile, portable speaker from Bang & Olufsen required a design solution that seamlessly accommodated three different listening positions: flat on a surface, standing vertically on its side, or mounted on a wall.
Despite predefined constraints—such as usage scenarios, dimensions, and hardware limitations—our team at Valeur Designers explored numerous design proposals to ensure the product remained both relevant and a natural extension of Bang & Olufsen’s design DNA. This time, I provided the initial creative sketches for the design concept, while Torsten Valeur carried out its realization with unwavering diligence and attention to detail.
